"Recollective Awareness Meditation", with lunch. Jason is the head teacher at the Skillful Meditation Project, which offers an approach to Buddhist meditation based on what people actually experience when they meditate. This approach is called Recollective Awareness, as it involves recollecting what happens in one's meditation sittings. One is free to meditate as one chooses in this approach or use the basic instructions suggested for beginning meditation students. There will be several meditation sittings; people can meditate sitting on cushions, in chairs, or lying down. All the meditation sittings will be done in silence with no guided meditation. After each session, Jason will talk about some aspect of the meditative process and will listen to people's experiences and answer any questions. It is suggested that you bring a journal or notepad to write down your meditation sittings.
